More About Achieving Balance at the Farm

Achieving Balance is a therapeutic alternative to traditional therapy, for those hard to reach clients or clients who may thrive outside of an office setting.

This approach allows clients to identify, express, and move through emotional conflicts in a relaxed and natural environment.

Animals provide support that have physical and emotional benefits. Horses have a unique ability to reflect our emotions and act out relationship dynamics. Achieving Balance utilizes equine-assisted methods, giving individuals the opportunity to learn about themselves and others through hands-on activities with our horses.

Achieving Balance provides individuals the opportunity to participate in equine-assisted activities. These activities are facilitated collaboratively with a licensed mental health professional and an equine specialist.

Equine-assisted methods are experiential, giving individuals an opportunity to learn about themselves and others through their experience with horses.

Horses mirror our behaviors and provide instant, nonjudgmental feedback allowing for opportunities of self-exploration. Through this process individuals can gain increased self-awareness, communication and coping skills while learning to develop positive relationships.

All activities are ground activities; there is no riding.
