That’s because the Galway Hooker is a story in and of itself. Originally built in Ireland, the pub was deconstructed and moved piece-by-piece to its current location off the shores of Lake Norman, just a stones throw from Charlotte, North Carolina. The pub is named for Galway Bay, which lies on the west coast of Ireland.
