SISC is collecting items for Christmas gift bags for Mooresville’s Meals on Wheels homebound seniors until Dec. 15. Items needed include toiletries, throw blankets, gloves, socks, toboggans, puzzles (new), kitchen towels, adult coloring books and pencils, word books, playing cards and individually wrapped healthy snacks, such as pretzels, peanut butter crackers, fruit cups, etc.  Please drop donations by the front desk by Dec. 15. Our goal is that these homebound seniors get a little something for Christmas so they know they are not forgotten. Volunteers are needed the morning of Dec. 18 to help stuff bags.  If you can help, sign up at the front desk. Also, at the Senior Center, Home Instead has placed a “Be Santa to a Senior” tree with names of seniors in need. You can see the items needed, select a name to buy for, and put your gift with the name tag attached under the tree. All gifts must be under the tree by Dec. 8.   Home Instead will picked up and deliver the gifts to the seniors by Christmas.
