Looking for a delicious restaurant to dine out at while supporting a great cause? Well, look no further. The Autism Society of North Carolina in partnership with our Mecklenburg County Chapter will be hosting the 14th Annual Autism Aware Fare taking place on Tuesday, April 19th. The annual dine-out event builds autism awareness and education while raising money to support children and adults with autism and their families’ right here in our community. Participating restaurants from across Mecklenburg County have graciously agreed to donate a portion of their proceeds from sales on this day to the Autism Society of North Carolina and our Mecklenburg County Chapter. Money raised supports children and adults with autism living in Mecklenburg County through scholarships for our Camp Royall program and services, recreational opportunities for families, grants to teachers who teach children with autism, and many other wonderful supports. Autism Aware Fare not only raises money, in addition every participating restaurant will have informational table tents on display educating the community on autism, which effects 1 in out of every 68 children.
